About the Illinois Divorce Lawyer

Attorney Dave Wolkowitz is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, and served for several years on its Judicial Evaluation Committee, investigation multipole candidates for the judiciary. He is a member of the Lake County Bar Association, where he has completed guardian ad litem training for the probate division, and has served as a volunteer mediation assisting the probate court. Additionally, he is also a member of the Cook County Bar Association and Champaign County Bar Association.

Previously, Attorney Wolkowitz employed his strategic thinking, negotiation, and communications skills as a consultant, college professor, journalist. His diverse professional background prior to his legal career sets him apart from many lawyers with a more narrow perspective. Attorney Wolkowitz earned his J.D. (law degree) from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he was named to the Dean’s List several semesters and took advanced LL.M. (master of laws) classes in family law. He earned a master of science degree from Northwestern University, and bachelor of science degree from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Prior to the Wolkowitz Law Office, Attorney Wolkowitz worked for several other established law firms. While in law school, Attorney Wolkowitz was a judicial extern at the Circuit Court of Cook County; there, he worked in the Domestic Relations division and the Law Division. Also during law school, Attorney Wolkowitz was a law clerk in the Juvenile Division of the Cook County Public Guardian.
